The construction of a “dry port” is being completed in Vinnytsia: when will work begin

The total amount of private investments in the Vinnytsia facility is more than 15 million dollars.

In the Vinnytsia region, the construction of a “dry port” — a railway terminal that will connect the central regions of Ukraine with the ports of Great Odesa and through the Mostysk container terminal with the EU countries — is being completed. Investments in the project amount to more than 15 million dollars. About this reported Deputy Mayor of Vinnytsia Andriy Ocheretnyi.

According to him, the first phase of construction began in the spring of 2024.

At the first stage of construction of the “dry port”, railway infrastructure and the first container yard with a capacity of about 30,000 TEU per year will be built. A container warehouse with a capacity of 2,000 TEU will also be built at this stage.

Currently, a part of the railway tracks, a weighing system, as well as a warehouse of 3.5 thousand square meters are ready. “Sukhoi Port” is planned to be commissioned in the third quarter of this year. About 50 people are employed here, they are currently looking for machine operators. In total, they plan to create 100 jobs.

“This is a logistics hub with the appropriate infrastructure, only not at sea, but on land. It is a railway terminal that will improve the operational transportation and handling of cargo, as well as increase the export and import potential of our state. It will help to connect the central regions of the country with the ports of a large Odesa and through the Mostysk container terminal with EU countries”. – noted Ocheretny.

He added that the amount of private investment in the Vinnytsia facility is more than 15 million dollars.
