Russia and the United States have developed a 3-stage peace plan for Ukraine

The USA and Russia have developed a peace plan for Ukraine, in which the key stage of the conflict settlement is the holding of new elections. About this informs Fox News.
The proposed plan consists of three stages: a ceasefire, holding new elections in Ukraine and signing a final agreement. Both sides consider the holding of new elections in Ukraine to be the main condition for the success of the peace process.
At the same time, this initiative causes controversy, because Russia has long been criticized for its undemocratic approach to elections, and there are fears in Ukraine about the possible election of a pro-Russian president.
Despite the fact that the idea of a “puppet” leader is negatively viewed in Ukraine, some experts point out that Russia considers the probability of such a scenario to be quite high. Vladimir Putin is convinced that any candidate, except for the current president of Ukraine, will be more inclined to negotiations and compromises.
For his part, Donald Trump, who participates in diplomatic processes, is ready to accept any election result, including the victory of a pro-Russian candidate. He and Putin consider the chances of Zelensky’s re-election to be low.
