Russia in Crimea “nationalized” the assets of Yatsenyuk, Jamala and other Ukrainians

Head of the Crimean Parliament” Volodymyr Konstantinov stated about the “nationalization” of the property of Ukrainian singer Jamala and former Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk in occupied Crimea.
According to him, under the pretext of “nationalization”, the educational building, garage and land plot of Yatsenyuk in Yalta, as well as movable and immovable property of Jamala and her relatives in Alushta were seized.
These assets are included in the list of 110 objects that the Russian authorities plan to “nationalize” on the territory of the peninsula. Among them are also the property of the family of ex-Deputy Lydia Kotelyak, the company “Yalta Film Studio” and the holding company “Kyivmiskbud”.
Earlier, the Russian authorities announced the sale of “nationalized” property of Ukrainians worth 1.7 billion rubles. In total, from December 29, 2023, 2,600 objects of movable and immovable property of Ukrainian citizens were “nationalized” in Crimea, including the assets of Ihor Kolomoiskyi, the building of the Mejlis and the apartment of Olena Zelenska.
The head of the Russian government of Crimea Serhii Aksyonov openly stated that the proceeds from the sale of “property of Ukrainian businessmen” will be used to finance the war against Ukraine.
The representative of the President of Ukraine in Crimea Tamila Tasheva stressed that Ukraine does not recognize acts that violate human or state rights, including decisions on “nationalization” or confiscation of property.
