The Kremlin refuses to discuss the possibility of exchanging territories with Ukraine, as President Volodymyr Zelenskyi said the day before. The press secretary of the Russian president, Dmytro Peskov, called such an idea “impossible”, rosZMI reports.
“Russia has never discussed and will not discuss the topic of exchanging its territory. And, of course, Ukrainian units will be expelled from this territory. All those who are not destroyed will be expelled.”Peskov emphasized.
We will remind that the operation of the Defense Forces of Ukraine in the Kursk region has been going on for six months. Earlier, Volodymyr Zelenskyy offered Russia an exchange of territories – it is about the Kursk Oblast regions controlled by the Armed Forces, in response to the liberation of Ukrainian lands occupied by the Russians. At the same time, the president did not specify which territory Ukraine is ready to offer in exchange.
Zelenskyi also explained that the Kursk operation was a preventive step to prevent the Russian Federation from re-offending the Sumy region.
