On the evening of March 23, Russian troops shelled populated areas of the Donetsk region, as a result of which two people were killed and another person was injured. About this informs Donetsk regional prosecutor’s office.
“On March 23, 2025, the military of the aggressor state struck, probably with the “Smerch” SAM, the village of Donetske, Mykolaiv region. The strike took place near an apartment building. A 46-year-old man died as a result of the shelling at the place of residence. – the message says.
The residential quarters of Pokrovsk also came under fire. The type of weapon used in the attack is currently being established. Among the dead is a 76-year-old pensioner who was on the street. Another local resident, a 69-year-old man, received a mine-explosive injury and shrapnel injuries.
Under the procedural leadership of the Sloviansk and Pokrovsk district prosecutor’s offices, pre-trial investigations have been initiated within the framework of criminal proceedings on the facts of war crimes (parts 1, 2 of article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). Prosecutors are making every effort to record brutal attacks by the occupiers on civilians.
