“Russian prisoners of war receive 1500 UAH in salary, while Ukrainian cadets receive 620 to 790 UAH.” Krotevych criticizes military command and MPs

In the conditions of a full-scale war, when Ukraine is desperately fighting for its independence, every serviceman plays a key role in the defense of the state. However, unfortunately, even in these difficult times, problems with social security and fair wages remain on the agenda. This especially applies to cadets – young soldiers who are just starting their career in the armed forces. Their motivation, willingness to serve and patriotism are often overshadowed by the realities of low wages and lack of adequate support from the state. At a time when enemy forces actively attract new recruits with large financial incentives, Ukrainian cadets are forced to fight not only with the enemy, but also with the indifference of the system. This situation causes indignation among the military, and the issue of decent provision of those who are ready to give their lives for the Motherland is becoming extremely important in the public discourse.

Lt. Col. Bohdan Krotevych, chief of staff of the Azov NSU brigade, expressed his indignation about this in Telegram, criticizing the higher military command and Ukrainian deputies for low payments to cadets. According to him, Russian prisoners of war receive wages in the amount of 1,500 hryvnias, while Ukrainian military cadets are forced to settle for amounts from 620 to 790 hryvnias.

“Two news that I came across in one day. The first is that the Belgorod region will pay 31 thousand dollars in stipends to those who sign a contract with the Russian army and go to fight in Ukraine. The second is a comparison of the salary of a Russian prisoner of war in Ukrainian captivity – 1,500 UAH, with cadet military serviceman of Ukraine – from 620 to 790 UAH.

I don’t know how it is possible to continue to spit so lowly and unprincipledly on one’s own population and military personnel, who actually give all Ukrainians the right to exist. Every time, when I am sure that nothing in this world will surprise me anymore – either politicians or the higher military leadership just seem to say “hold my beer” and spit in the face of all the military in the first place.

But all the same, how the hell did you get me, how you all fuck me. Alan Moore’s wonderful fictional character Roroshakh said: “Liberals, intellectuals, sweet-voiced talkers…”.

Most of the People’s Deputies you elected only talk about problems, but in fact do the minimum (or nothing) because they are afraid of losing their positions, feeding troughs, and fortunes. For them, it’s a game of cards with Kevin Spacey. Everyone pursues their own interests, but not the interests of the state.

Are you worthy of what the Ukrainian army chooses for you every day? However, despite my, as it seems to me, logical aggression, it happened that: just as there are no those who seriously take up the problem of the responsibility of the top military leadership, there are also no ones who globally take up the fight to protect the interests and prestige of military cadets . Yes, there are small groups of cadets who are fighting for themselves, including individual military personnel, but they lack resources (including media).

It’s ironic, by the way, you all like to criticize the UN so much that it is “disturbed”, but what about you? What did you do after reading this news? Maybe they created a petition, maybe they wrote a parliamentary appeal, maybe they studied this issue and found methods to solve it? As they say in English-speaking countries, “shame on you”. But it is not the fault of an 18-year-old soldier that you are so irresponsible. The fact remains that for the generals and the majority of Ukrainian society, everything is equal in this situation to the cadets. And for those who are not equal, and who knows how to fix this situation, write me in private. Somehow we will share this story with you”, – wrote Bohdan Krotevich in Telegram.

Krotewicz is outraged that there is no serious effort on the part of the higher command to solve this problem, and that there is no systemic support to protect the interests of the cadets. In his opinion, although there are small groups of cadets and individual soldiers who are trying to fight for their rights on their own, their resources, including media support, are not enough.
