Russian rapper Timati received a suspicion in absentia from the SBU

The Security Service of Ukraine collected evidence in absentia announced about the suspicion of the Russian singer-propagandist Timur Yunusov, known under the pseudonym “Timati”.
“According to the case materials, Yunusov is one of the participants in Russian propaganda, who was Putin’s confidant in the presidential elections in 2012, 2018 and 2024, took part in his inauguration and in events celebrating the victory in the “elections”. In addition, Timati supported Russian aggression, the annexation of Crimea and the violation of Ukraine’s fundamental rights to independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity”, — the SBU reported.
The department also noted that Timati performed at least seven propaganda concerts on the temporarily occupied peninsula, which were aimed at legitimizing the occupation of Crimea.
On the basis of the evidence collected by the SBU investigators, he was declared a suspect under Part. 2 Art. 332-1 of the Criminal Code (violation of the procedure for entering and leaving the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine for the purpose of harming state interests, committed repeatedly). The pre-trial investigation takes place under the procedural guidance of the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.
