Russian troops attacked Zaporizhzhia: at least 29 people were injured

On the night of May 2, the Russian army launched a massive attack on Zaporozhye. At least 10 kamikaze drone strikes of the Shahed type were made in the regional center. Several fires broke out as a result of the shelling. 29 people were injured, including a 13-year-old child. High-rise buildings, an educational institution and an infrastructure facility were damaged. reported Ivan Fedorov, head of OVA.

“Contusions, explosive injuries, lacerations, burns and fractures – as a result of the night enemy attack on Zaporozhye, 29 people were injured. Among the injured is a 13-year-old boy. 12 people are in the medical facilities of the regional center as of this morning. They are currently receiving all the necessary help.” – says the message.

In one of the districts, the destruction of a multi-story residential building and a fire were recorded. Rescuers are conducting search and rescue operations, the fire was contained. According to preliminary data, one person may be under the rubble. The number of victims is being clarified. Also, at two other locations, specialists of the State Emergency Service extinguished a fire that engulfed five garages. All emergency services are working at the scene.

During the day, the occupying forces carried out 589 attacks on 16 settlements of the Zaporizhzhia region. Russian aviation made 17 strikes on Zaliznychny, Novoandriivka, Sviatopetrivka, Zeleny and Tsvitkovo. Drones of various types, in the number of 349, attacked Zaporizhzhia, Bilenka, Kamiansk, Gulyaipole, Shcherbaki, Novodanilivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne and Novodarivka.

Orykhiv, Gulyaipole, Novodanilivka and Charivne were hit as a result of 9 shellings from the rocket systems of salvo fire. Another 214 artillery strikes were recorded in Kamianskyi, Gulyaipol, Shcherbaki, Novodanilivka, Malia Tokmachka, Charivny, Novodarivka and Pavlivka. 142 reports of damage to residential buildings, apartments, cars and garages were received.
