School management in India killed a student for the sake of ‘prosperity’

A seven-year-old boy was sacrificed at a private school in India in order to increase the income of this educational institution. As a result of this crime, the founder of the school and his son, who held the position of director, were arrested. According to the National Crime Records Bureau of India, 103 such cases were recorded in the country from 2014 to 2021.

The incident took place in the city of Hathras, located in the state of Uttar Pradesh. A seven-year-old second-grade student died during a ritual sacrifice organized by the school’s owners, hoping to ensure prosperity and increase the institution’s profits.

In connection with this tragedy, the local police arrested the owner of the school, Jasodhan Singh, his son Dinesh Baghel, who served as the principal, as well as three teachers, reports Hindustan Times.

The boy’s body was discovered in his bed in the school dormitory. Police officer Himanshu Mathur said that the child was killed by the director’s father before the black magic ritual was performed.

“This sacrifice was intended to bring success and popularity to the school”,” senior police officer Nipun Agarwal told the Times of India.

He also added that this school had previously tried to carry out a similar ritual killing of another child, but then the plan was not implemented.

According to India’s National Crime Records Bureau, 103 people were killed in ritual sacrifices in the country between 2014 and 2021.
