Senator Graham announced a bill on new anti-Russian sanctions

US Senator from the Republican Party Lindsey Graham said that he plans to submit a bill that provides for new sanctions against Russia. They will affect two key sectors of the Russian economy — banking and energy. About this informs NBC News.

According to the senator, these measures are necessary in order to force Russia to sit down at the negotiating table and agree on a ceasefire.

“If Russia does not agree to a truce and peace talks with the administration, we must impose the toughest sanctions on it.” Graham emphasized.

The senator also stressed that until a ceasefire is reached, the US should continue to provide Ukraine with all necessary defense resources, including intelligence and weapons, to ensure its self-defense.

In addition, Graham expressed concern about the Trump administration’s pause in military aid to Ukraine and called for renewed support while the war continues. He emphasized that this issue needs immediate resolution to avoid further complications in the region and to ensure stability in Europe.
