Sent to the front as a sniper: a neurosurgeon died in the war in Ukraine

In Ukraine, a neurosurgeon was mobilized to the front by a sniper and he has already died. About this in a comment to the “Telegraph” publication told People’s deputy, deputy head of the medical committee of the Verkhovna Rada, Oksana Dmytrieva.

She noted that during a visit to the hospital, doctors informed the elected representative that their neurosurgeon was mobilized to the front by a shooter. However, this man, unfortunately, has already died. Now this hospital, which the nardepa does not name, is experiencing a shortage of neurosurgeons.

Now in this hospital, which the people’s deputy does not name, there is not enough neurosurgeons.

“They still had a female surgeon, but she got pregnant. Now the hospital is desperate because they don’t have enough people for a full team of doctors.”Dmitrieva said.

At the same time, she added that she understands the need for doctors at the front.

“We understand that they should also be at the front. However, such specialized doctors, whose training takes more than one year, should still be left in civilian medicine so that they treat both civilians and military personnel. However, difficult operations should be performed in hospitalx”, she thinks.

Dmitrieva called the mobilization of medics into other military specialties, in particular riflemen, unacceptable.

It is worth noting that recently in Odesa there was a scandal between doctors and representatives of the Military Commissariat, because they intended to mobilize an “ambulance” doctor. Another emergency doctor spoke about the threat to the work of the service due to the lack of booking of doctors.
