Scientists have proven that changing the habit of constant procrastination requires considerable effort and time. One of the effective methods is the “Pomodoro” technique, where the task is performed for 25 minutes and then a short break is taken.

Chronic procrastination can lead to stress, anxiety and even depression. Studies have shown that procrastinators are more likely to suffer from sleep problems and general fatigue.

Sometimes procrastination can be beneficial. For example, in creative professions, when procrastination allows the brain to “cook” ideas, or when a person works better under limited time.

The beginning of the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces in the Kharkiv region

On September 6, 2022, during the war with Russia, the Armed Forces of Ukraine launched a large-scale counteroffensive in the Kharkiv region, which allowed Ukrainian forces to liberate significant territories.

After several months of defensive battles in the Kharkiv region, the Armed Forces of Ukraine had the opportunity to regroup and start preparing a counteroffensive. During the summer of 2022, Ukrainian troops conducted constant attacks on Russian positions and collected intelligence information, which became the basis for planning the operation. By the beginning of September, the Armed Forces of Ukraine significantly strengthened their capabilities due to the supply of modern weapons from Western allies, including long-range artillery and high-precision HIMARS systems.

The counteroffensive in the Kharkiv region began suddenly, the main blow was aimed at the northeast of the region, in particular at Kupyansk, Izyum and Balaklia. Ukrainian troops conducted lightning operations, breaking the enemy’s defenses and advancing tens of kilometers in a few days.

One of the first cities to be liberated was Balaklia, which the Ukrainian military took back under their control on September 8. The city of Izyum, which is an important logistics center for Russian forces, was liberated on September 10. The city of Kupyansk is an important transport hub for the supply of Russian troops in this region. After his release, Ukrainian troops blocked one of the main logistics routes of the Russian forces, and they began to rapidly retreat, leaving their positions and equipment. This counteroffensive freed more than 3,000 square kilometers of territory in just a few days, making it one of the fastest military operations in modern history.
