Serhiy Koretskyi was elected as the new chairman of the board of Naftogaz

Serhiy Koretsky was appointed as the new chairman of the board of Naftogaz Group. About this reported The company’s supervisory board.

“Koretsky is currently the chairman of the board of PJSC Ukrnafta and PJSC Ukrtatnafta, and in this capacity comes to a new position from within the oil and gas family of enterprises. He will take up the position of chairman of the board of JSC Naftogaz of Ukraine on May 14, 2025.” – says the Naftogaz website.

Koretskyi received the unanimous support of the supervisory board, which expects to cooperate with him in realizing the full potential of Naftogaz and fulfilling the company’s important role in the economy of Ukraine.

“The Supervisory Board conducted a worldwide search for a new Chairman of the Board on a completely independent basis in accordance with the highest standards of corporate governance. Before making a choice, we evaluated and interviewed many qualified candidates both from Ukraine and abroad. We are convinced that, combining successful experience in both the public and private sectors, Koretsky will lead Naftogaz extremely effectively both during the war and during post-war development”, the company explained.

Roman Chumak, who served as the chairman of the board of Naftogaz, will continue his work as the financial director of the Naftogaz Group.

Serhii Koretsky, who previously held the position of general director of the WOG gas station network, headed PJSC “Ukrnafta” and PJSC “Ukrtatnafta” in early November 2022. According to the results of 2024, the net profit of PJSC “Ukrnafta” amounted to UAH 16.38 billion.
