Shelling of “Okhmatdyt”: GUR received official documents and photos of its commanders from a Russian pilot

One of the pilots of the Russian 22nd heavy bomber aviation division, after the attack on the “Okhmatdyt” children’s hospital, handed over to Ukrainian intelligence documents on the activities of his military unit and private photos of the command staff. After the criminal attack on the “Okhmatdyt” children’s hospital in Kyiv on July 8, 2024, one of the pilots of the 22nd heavy bomber aviation division (military unit 06987, Engels airfield) contacted the chatbot of the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, which constantly fires Ukrainian cities with Kh-101 missiles.

According to intelligence sources of the “Information Resistance”, a Russian military officer wrote that he was shocked by the attack on the children’s hospital and did not understand why they were being forced to attack the civilian infrastructure of Ukraine. Therefore, he decided to hand over to the Ukrainian side documents related to the activities of his military unit, as well as private photos of the command staff of the 22nd heavy bomber aviation division.

According to the publication’s sources, the initial study of the received materials indicates their great importance. The most valuable are documents with a restricted access vulture of the 22nd Heavy Bombardment Aviation Division.

The publication published private photos from the celebration of the appointment of the Chief of Staff of the 52nd Heavy Bombardment Aviation Regiment, Colonel Ilya Koryakin, to the position of Chief of Staff of the 22nd Heavy Bombardment Aviation Division in the restaurant “Naples” (Engels, Saratov region). The photo shows more than 30 members of the command staff of units of the 22nd heavy bomber aviation division of the long-range aviation command of the Russian Air Force.
