Sole proprietors with disabilities will receive compensation for the arrangement of workplaces

Individual entrepreneurs and self-employed persons with disabilities will receive state compensation for setting up their own workplaces. There is also job creation compensation for disabled veterans who have returned to work. About this informs Ministry of Economy of Ukraine.
“We have expanded access to the program and now people with disabilities who are self-employed or self-employed or people who are planning to open their own business will be able to receive compensation for the equipment of their workplace with special furniture, devices, the purchase of auxiliary equipment, for example, a lift or a ramp.” — noted First Deputy Prime Minister — Minister of Economy Yuliya Svyridenko.
In addition, the program has been expanded to include cases where veterans with disabilities return to their previous jobs. Previously, employers could receive compensation only in the case of new employment, and if a veteran returned to his place of work with an injury, payments were not provided.
According to the conditions, the compensation can reach up to 120 thousand hryvnias for persons with disabilities of the first group and up to 80 thousand hryvnias for persons with disabilities of the second group. You can apply for compensation online through the Diya portal or by contacting the employment center in person. After submitting the necessary documents, the application process takes up to 10 working days, and the payment is sent to the applicant’s account within 5 days after the decision is made.
We will remind that since the beginning of 2025, employers have already received 34 million hryvnias in compensation for arranging 448 workplaces for people with disabilities. In 2024, more than 1,500 entrepreneurs used the program, creating almost 2,000 jobs, receiving compensation in the total amount of 129 million hryvnias.
