A bill on national resistance has been submitted to the Verkhovna Rada

The Verkhovna Rada has registered a bill amending the current legislation on national resistance. About this reported Iryna Vereshchuk, Deputy Head of the Office of the President.

The new document envisages the creation of a network of Resistance Centers, where both men and women will receive training. Training will be organized within educational programs or on a voluntary basis. Instructors at the Centers will be veterans with combat experience, and state property and special shooting ranges will be used for training.

“Today, the Verkhovna Rada is registering a draft law on changes to the legislation on national resistance. This is an important step towards the systemic readiness of the entire society to protect the state.”, — noted Vereshchuk.

According to her, the document contains a number of key innovations. Different categories of citizens, including women, will undergo training; training will take place on the basis of special Centers deployed throughout Ukraine; leaders and instructors will be experienced veterans.

In addition, the Centers will be given the right to use the property of state and local authorities, military units and public organizations. They will also be able to set up shooting ranges and use firearms for training purposes.

“The system of preparation for national resistance is not about war, it is about readiness.” – emphasized Vereshchuk.

We will remind you that on April 18, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved a resolution that defines the procedure for the creation and functioning of Centers for training citizens for national resistance, as well as the requirements for their activities. The Territorial Defense Forces will be engaged in the development of training programs and training plans.
