Starmer announced the formation of a “coalition of the willing” to ensure peace in Ukraine

Prime Minister of Great Britain Keir Starmer stated on the formation of a “coalition of the willing” to ensure the implementation of the peace agreement regarding Ukraine. It is planned that Britain will play a leading role in this process.
According to Starmer, the European leaders agreed on the continuation of military aid to Ukraine and increased economic pressure on Russia. They will insist that Ukraine should be at the table of peace negotiations.
“We will develop a coalition of those willing to protect the agreement in Ukraine and guarantee peace,” – said the British Prime Minister.
According to him, not all countries will be able to join directly, but this does not mean that they will remain on the sidelines:
“Instead, those willing should step up planning now and with real urgency. The UK stands ready with others to support it with boots on the ground and planes in the air.”.

So far, a number of countries have already expressed their willingness to join the “coalition of the willing”, but Starmer believes that they should announce it themselves. He also emphasized that he understands the position of some states that may not want to participate in such a format, but at the same time emphasized the need to move forward and give some momentum to the peace talks.
“In the event of a peace agreement, we will strengthen Ukraine’s defense capabilities to prevent any future encroachment on Ukrainian borders. We will deploy a contingent to Ukraine to protect the implementation of this agreement. We cannot wait while neglecting the opportunity to help.” Starmer concluded.
