Starmer said it was necessary to recognize the Palestinian state

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said that recognition of Palestinian statehood should be part of a comprehensive plan aimed at ensuring long-term security for both Palestinians and Israelis. About this it is said in his statement.
The document states that “the terrible events in Gaza do not stop.”
“The prolonged hostage-taking, hunger and denial of humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people, increased violence by extremist settler groups, and Israel’s disproportionate military escalation in Gaza are inexcusable.” Starmer is convinced.
He emphasized that, together with the closest allies, “I am working to find a way to peace in the region”, focusing on practical solutions that “will make a real difference in the lives of those suffering from this war”.
“Recognition of a Palestinian state must be one of those steps. I say that unequivocally. But it must be part of a larger plan that will ultimately lead to a two-state solution and lasting security for Palestinians and Israelis. This is the way to make it the most useful tool for improving the lives of those who are suffering — which, of course, will always be our ultimate goal.”, the Prime Minister said in a statement.
We will remind, on July 25, the President of France Emmanuel Macron said that his country recognizes Palestine as a state, and the official announcement of this decision will take place at the meeting of the UN General Assembly in September. At the same time, US President Donald Trump, commenting on Macron’s statement, called it “not going to change anything” because it “has no weight”.
