TCC do not have the right to take away mobile phones: statement of the Kyiv RTCC

Employees of territorial collection centers do not have the right to seize mobile phones from citizens, but can limit their use in certain zones. About this stated major Larisa Kozak, deputy head of the RTCC and SP in the city of Kyiv.

She emphasized that TCCs are regime objects, and the use of mobile devices is prohibited in certain premises. However, the legislation provides for the arrangement of special places where communication with conscripts and the use of telephones are allowed.

“To take away the means of cellular communication – no, the RTCC has no such right. Limit – yes. Communication only in designated areas. Some offices are categorized and it is forbidden even for us to work there with cellular devices. Even we don’t use them there.” Major Kozak emphasized.

In addition, she clarified that in case of disobedience to the demands of police officers or TCC, detention can last up to three hours, and in the case of active resistance – up to three days.
