The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine imposed a fine on two companies for collusion in the tender for road repairs

The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine imposed a fine of UAH 106 million on the companies LLC “Construction Management of Mechanization” from Vinnytsia and LLC “Mostobudivelny Zagin #112” from Brovary. The reason was a conspiracy during participation in tenders for major repairs of bridges and roads, informs AMCU press service.
In the period from 2019 to 2021, these companies took part in 10 procurements organized by highway services in Vinnytsia, Kirovohrad, Rivne, and Zhytomyr regions, as well as the SE “Agency of Local Highways”. The total amount of works covered by these tenders exceeded UAH 600 million.
The AMCU investigation established that the companies’ actions were concerted, which eliminated competition between them and violated antitrust legislation. As a result, the companies received a fine of UAH 106 million and lost the right to participate in public procurement for three years.
