The Ukrainian military carried out an airstrike on the warehouses of the Russian army in the Kursk region. As a result of the attack, technical equipment, hangars, several military buildings, as well as more than 30 Russian servicemen were destroyed. Among those liquidated are UAV operators and repair units. About this stated General Staff of the Armed Forces.
“The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck a complex of warehouses that was actively used by the armed forces of the Russian Federation in Ozerki, Kursk Oblast”, – says the message.
The General Staff noted that the facility played an important role in providing Russian forces in the Sumy direction:
“The destruction of this object significantly reduces the capabilities of the Russian Federation to conduct combat operations against units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine in the Sumy region and in the Kursk direction.”
The Ukrainian side emphasized that it strikes only military targets:
“Ukrainian defenders strike only at valid military targets of the enemy and take all measures to protect civilians as much as possible. The Armed Forces will continue to destroy elements of the military infrastructure of the Russians until they stop their armed aggression against the Ukrainian people.”
We will remind that the operation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the territory of the Kursk region has been going on for about eight months. During this time, Ukrainian forces took control of almost a hundred settlements. The goal is to withdraw enemy reserves and reduce the threat of a new attack on the northern and eastern regions of Ukraine.
