The activities of the Armed Forces are covered by more than 7,000 media outlets, but the interest of the world and Ukrainian media in the war is declining

As of today, 7,412 media outlets cover the activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was announced by the spokesman for the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Dmytro Lykhoviy, Ukrinform reports.

Currently, 7,412 media representatives cover the activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This figure shows the unprecedented openness of the Armed Forces. In a war like ours, this is a high degree of freedom and access to the activities of the Armed Forces. We respond in all forms to media inquiries,’ said Lykhoviy.

At the same time, he noted that compared to previous years, media interest in covering the war has decreased.

Unfortunately, the interest of both Ukrainian and international media in the war is gradually decreasing,’ he added.

Lykhoviy also stressed that accredited journalists have been given easier access to work in the war zones. According to him, journalistic associations note the progressive changes made to Order No. 73 of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which have greatly facilitated access to the frontline and made the requirements for working with the military more transparent. As an example, Lykhoviy mentioned the recent trip of a large group of journalists to the Kursk region.

Since the start of the Ukrainian armed forces’ operation in Kursk region, dozens of journalists have already visited the area. Most of them took part in working tours organised by the Ministry of Defence.
