The Cabinet of Ministers allowed foreign companies to join the modernization of military equipment for the Armed Forces of Ukraine
Foreign companies are allowed to participate in the modernization of military equipment for the Defense Forces of Ukraine. The corresponding decision, initiated by the Ministry of Defense, was adopted by the government. About this informs press service of the Ministry of Defense.
Changes have been made to the procedure for the development, development and production of new samples of defense products, as well as the cessation of production of existing types. The updated mechanism now covers foreign economic contracts within the framework of defense procurement and establishes clear conditions for cooperation with international partners.
“Foreign companies will be able to participate in the development and modernization of weapons in the presence of special permits for the transfer of military technologies and the export of relevant goods and services. Special attention is paid to the modernization of state aviation aircraft, their components and equipment, as well as ships.” – noted Deputy Minister of Defense Brigadier General Anatoly Klochko.
The Ministry of Defense emphasized that updating outdated equipment will significantly increase its effectiveness thanks to the use of advanced Western technologies. They also emphasized that this initiative opens up new opportunities for international partners in creating joint high-tech projects in compliance with international standards and principles of transparency.
