The Cabinet of Ministers approved the first contribution to support frontline and border communities

The Cabinet of Ministers decided to allocate the first tranche in the amount of 2 billion hryvnias to support 200 front-line and border communities in Donetsk, Zaporizhia, Kharkiv, Kherson, Sumy, Chernihiv, Mykolaiv, Luhansk and part of Dnipropetrovsk regions. About this reported Volodymyr Zelenskyi.

“Today, government officials have already agreed on the parameters of the support. This is the first contribution – at least it will be 2 billion hryvnias for 200 communities in Donetsk region, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv region, Kherson region, Sumy region, Chernihiv region, Mykolaiv region and Luhansk region. Also – communities of Dnipro region. We will look at the results of using these funds and will continue this financial support.”, – said the head of state.

According to him, these funds can be directed to solving the most urgent security tasks: protecting the civilian population, carrying out repair and restoration works, purchasing special transport and building shelters. The President instructed the government to transfer these funds directly to communities as soon as possible.

We will remind that on April 3, Zelensky announced that following the meeting with community leaders in the Chernihiv region, a government decision on providing additional funding to border and front-line communities located near the border with Russia is expected as early as next week.
