The Cabinet of Ministers extended the period of preferential lending for businesses in high military risk zones to 5 years

The Cabinet of Ministers decided to extend the term of preferential lending to businesses in areas of high military risk under the “Affordable loans 5-7-9%” program. Instead of two years, the preferential rate of 1% per annum can now be used for five years. About this reported Ministry of Economy of Ukraine.
“We have extended the period during which companies in areas of high military risk will be able to repay a loan at exactly 1%. From now on, it will be five years instead of two. This is more stability for business and more opportunities to invest the saved funds in development.”, — noted the First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yuliya Svyridenko.
Under the updated terms, the rate of 1% per annum for investment loans will apply for the first five years, after which it will change to 5%.
Territories with a high military risk include both individual communities and districts, as well as entire regions that are subject to hostilities, constant shelling or are located near the front line. Among them are some parts of Dnipropetrovsk, Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions, as well as almost the entire territory of Donetsk, Zaporizhia, and Kherson regions.
More than 20% of all loans under the “5-7-9%” program go to businesses operating in areas of increased military risk. Since the beginning of 2025, entrepreneurs have received 11,200 preferential loans in the amount of 35.4 billion hryvnias, of which 7.5 billion were directed specifically to support business in these regions.
