The Cabinet updated the rules for food delivery by mail: the main changes

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has made changes to the rules for forwarding postal items, in particular to the list of prohibited attachments and the procedure for their removal. The main changes concern food products. This is stated in the government statement resolution dated September 10, 2024 No. 1045.

According to the updated rules, it is forbidden to send food products in domestic mail if they have expired at the time of the scheduled delivery date. Previously, shipping was limited to products with an expiration date of up to 10 days.

In addition, the Cabinet of Ministers specified other norms of prohibitions. According to the resolution, it is prohibited to send:

  • national currency (except numismatic products of the National Bank, investment coins and numismatic collections);
  • foreign currency;
  • alcoholic beverages with an ethyl alcohol content of more than 8.5% (except for those that do not require excise stamps);
  • tobacco products and liquids for electronic cigarettes without excise tax stamps.

As a reminder, since August 30, “Ukrposhta” has stopped accepting cash-on-delivery shipments from individual entrepreneurs. This was the result of the new resolution of the National Bank of Ukraine No. 100, which changed the rules for conducting cash operations in the national currency and came into effect on August 29.
