The Chinese authorities denied the accusations in the NATO communiqué regarding the support of the Russian Federation in the war in Ukraine
Beijing considers the accusations of the Alliance "provocative, containing obvious falsehood and slander."

China has sharply criticized NATO in response to the North Atlantic Alliance’s statement that China has become a decisive factor contributing to Russia’s war against Ukraine. About this write Financial Times.
In the final communique, the NATO countries demanded that China “cease all material and political support for Russia’s military actions”, making the strongest statement against Beijing in the entire history of the alliance.
In a joint statement at the annual summit in Washington, NATO noted that “Beijing’s massive support for Russia’s defense industrial base… increases the threat Russia poses to its neighbors and to Euro-Atlantic security.”
Beijing said it had sent a protest to NATO over the accusations, which it called “provocative, containing blatant falsehood and slander.”
China’s mission to the EU said Beijing seeks a political settlement to the war in Ukraine and has never provided lethal weapons to either side in the conflict, adding that “normal trade flows” with Russia should not be disrupted or coerced. At the same time, Beijing has warned the alliance to stay away from Asia, which it says is “a place for peaceful development, not an arena for geopolitical rivalry.”
“NATO continues to play on the relationship between the security of Europe and the security of the Asia-Pacific region. We call on it to remain within its role as a regional defense organization in the North Atlantic. NATO must not become a disruptor of peace and stability in the Asia-Pacific region or a tool, used by some great powers to maintain hegemony”, – said the Chinese statement.
