Lavrov accused the UN of being silent about Ukraine’s operation in the Kursk region

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov accused the UN of not responding to the actions of the Ukrainian military in the Kursk region, saying that Ukrainian forces allegedly use Western weapons for indiscriminate attacks. According to Lavrov, during the operations of the Ukrainian military, residential buildings, social facilities and civilians who tried to leave the dangerous zone were damaged. About this informs Reuters.

“That’s where residential buildings, social institutions, and civilians who move their cars to safer places are bombed every day.”, said Lavrov.

He added that UN representatives responsible for human rights did not express any reaction to these events.

In early August, Ukrainian troops crossed the border with the Kursk region and, according to Russian officials, captured a large part of the territory and about 100 settlements, Reuters notes.

Lavrov also addressed the countries of Eastern Europe, which used to be allies of the USSR and are now members of NATO and the EU, with a warning of “disdainful treatment” by Western leaders.

“The Eastern European countries, which are currently under the wing of NATO or under the roof of the European Union, must understand how their “masters” treat themLavrov added.

We will remind that the Russian troops are also shelling the territory of the Kursk region with the help of their own guided air bombs, releasing 27 such munitions in the region during the day, and later they may blame Ukraine for this.

Meanwhile, units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine restored their positions near the village of Zaliznianske in Donetsk region and advanced near Komyshivka in the Kursk region. However, the Russian army also continues its offensive in some areas.
