The court allowed to remove the bracelet from the suspect in the case of ex-minister Solsky

The higher anti-corruption court decided to remove the electronic bracelet from the agrarian entrepreneur Mykhailo Bugrymenko, a suspect in the case of the former Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Mykola Solsky, but extended the remaining duties until October 14, 2024. This decision was made on July 30 and confirmed on August 14.
We will remind that earlier the VAKS decided to arrest Bugrymenko, with the possibility of an alternative in the form of bail in the amount of UAH 30.28 million. After paying this amount, the suspect was released from custody, but several obligations were imposed on him, including: to appear at every summons of the investigator, a ban on traveling outside the Sumy region without permission, notification of a change of place of residence and work, maintenance from contacts with witnesses and other suspects, handing in foreign passports and wearing an electronic bracelet.
On July 30, the court partially satisfied the request of Bugrymenko’s lawyers, allowing the removal of the electronic bracelet. However, the prosecutor of the SAP requested the extension of other duties, which was supported by the court.
NABU and SAP suspect Bugrymenko and other figures, including Mykola Solskyi, of participating in a scheme that led to the illegal acquisition of land plots in the Sumy region with a total area of 2,493 hectares, worth more than UAH 291 million. According to the investigation, the participants in the scheme destroyed documents confirming the right of state-owned enterprises to use the land, which allowed them to appropriate the plots. However, further attempts to seize another 3,282 hectares were stopped thanks to the actions of NABU and SAP, which seized the land.
