The court arrested the deputy head of the Kyiv City State Administration Olenych for 2 months with the possibility of making a bail of 15 million hryvnias

The Supreme Anti-Corruption Court (SAC) chose a preventive measure against the suspect in the case of land acquisition in Kyiv. The deputy head of the Kyiv City State Administration (KMDA) Pyotr Olenych was sent to custody until April 6 with the right to post a bail of 15 million hryvnias. About this reported SAP press office.

“The Investigating Judge of the State Administrative Court supported the position of the prosecutor of the SAP and applied a preventive measure to the deputy head of the Kyiv City State Administration, who is a suspect in the case regarding the seizure of the capital’s land.” – the message says.

The court partially granted the petition, choosing a preventive measure for the suspect in the form of detention with the possibility of a bail of 15 million hryvnias. It is reported that the court session was held behind closed doors at the request of the prosecution.

We remind you that on February 6 NABU and SAP conducted the “Clean City” operation with the aim of exposing corruption schemes in the land and budget spheres of Kyiv. According to the investigation, the participants of the scheme found promising plots of land and issued ownership rights to non-existent buildings to persons under their control.

Subsequently, applications were submitted to the Kyiv City Council for the transfer of these plots into ownership for the maintenance of allegedly existing buildings, which made it possible to avoid open auctions. The prosecutor’s office reported that more than 80 searches were conducted within the scope of the case.
