The court extended the measure of restraint to the notorious activist Stakhiv

On December 20, Halytskyi District Court of Lviv considered petition to extend the preventive measure against Ostap Stakhiv, who is suspected of fraud and disseminating information about the location of units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The court decided to extend his preventive measure until February 18, 2025.
According to the court’s decision, Stakhiv must come to the investigating prosecutor according to the specified schedule, not leave the borders of the Lviv region without permission, and also inform about the change of residence. He is allowed to visit Kyiv only to participate in court sessions. In addition, Stakhiv is obliged to hand over his foreign passport for safekeeping to the relevant authorities.
Ostap Stakhiv has been in custody since October 2, and on November 28, the court extended his preventive measure in the form of detention with the possibility of bail in the amount of 908,000 hryvnias. On December 3, Stakhiv was released after paying this amount.
Stakhiva is accused of violating two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine: fraud (Part 1 and Part 2 of Article 190), punishable by up to three years of imprisonment, and unauthorized dissemination of information about the placement of the Armed Forces in conditions of martial law (Part 2 of Article 114 -2), which provides up to eight years of imprisonment.
