Detectives of the Bureau of Economic Security in the Kyiv region exposed a group of people who organized the production and sale of counterfeit batteries, passing them off as products of a well-known international brand. About this reported BEB press office.
“The investigation established that the defendants established illegal production on an industrial scale in the territory of four regions. They used professional equipment for the manufacture and packaging of counterfeit products. However, no safety checks were carried out for the use of their products.
Counterfeit goods were distributed under the guise of the original in wholesale batches via the Internet and retail outlets.” – says the message.
During searches in Kyiv, Lviv, Kharkiv and Odesa regions, law enforcement officers seized production and packaging equipment, printing materials with international brand markings, and components for manufacturing products.
In addition, more than 37,000 units of finished products without supporting documents, as well as draft records, were confiscated. According to preliminary estimates, the total value of seized goods exceeds 2 million hryvnias.
