The ex-chief of the Berdyansk police and his wife bought an elite car fleet during the two years of the war

Vitaly Brovko, who before the occupation of Berdyansk by Russia was in charge of the local police, after his dismissal from the service headed the state enterprise “Konyarstvo Ukrainy”. According to his declaration, during the last two years of the war, Brovka’s wife, Marina, purchased a fleet of luxury cars worth more than 10 million hryvnias.

“On February 27, 2022, the Russian military seized the police station in Berdyansk. At that time, the building was empty, because on February 24, Ukrainian law enforcement officers were ordered to leave the city, and most of them left with their families for Zaporizhzhia, where they were supposed to join the defense of the state. Local media reported that the head of the city police department, Vitaliy Brovko, was allegedly not too concerned about the evacuation of personnel, instead he himself left for the regional center and seemingly hastily retired., – the message says.

It is noted that in March 2022, the Russians released a video of the search of Vitaliy Brovka’s apartment in occupied Berdyansk. In particular, the plot stated that the family of the main police officer of the city lived in a two-story apartment, in which they allegedly found valuables worth 10 million hryvnias and documents for some elite real estate.

In the declarations about incomes, there is not a single elite housing in the Berdyansk Police Excavator. Everything is modest: Brovko, together with his wife and son, owns an apartment in Berdyansk, there is also a small office of his wife Maryna Brovko and her share of 40% of an apartment in the town of Borov, Kharkiv region. However, in the Kharkiv region, the couple owns 4 land plots with a total area of ​​26 hectares and another 3 hectares in the Pologiv district.”, – inform the journalists.

Brovka’s wife declared 4 trucks bought for a suspiciously low price – 185 thousand hryvnias (less than $5,000). In 2022, she bought two more expensive MAN and Mercedes trucks. Lexus NX300, Mercedes-Benz GLE 400, Tesla Model Y and Everlast tank were added to this list. All cars are registered to the wife. Her declared income does not cover the costs of the car fleet. Brovko refuses to answer journalists’ questions.

According to the YouControl analytical system, Maryna Oleksandrivna Brovko was registered as an individual entrepreneur twice – in Berdyansk and Kyiv. However, both FOPs ceased operations. Therefore, Maryna Brovko received the main income indicated in her husband’s declaration for renting out property and proceeds from the sale of real estate.

In 2021, Ms. Brovko’s total income amounted to UAH 189,133,000, in 2020 it was only UAH 742, and in 2023, she earned UAH 1.04349 million for the year.

In the column of financial obligations for the past year, Maryna Brovko’s loan of UAH 1.795107 million to Berda-Agoro LLC is indicated. Both the amount and the date coincide with the purchase of a new EVERLAST tank truck.

If you sum up all the money earned and borrowed by Maryna Brovko from 2021 to 2023 and compare it with the total amount she spent on replenishing the car fleet, the difference between income and expenses will be UAH 993,123,000.
