The first funds from frozen Russian assets arrived in Ukraine from Britain

The first funds from Great Britain, secured by profits from frozen Russian assets, have arrived in Ukraine. About this reported Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal.
“Today we received 752 million pounds within the framework of the G7 ERA initiative. We will direct the funds to strengthening Ukrainian defense capabilities.” – the message says.
Denys Shmyhal thanked the British government and our G7 partners for the mechanism that forces Russian funds to work for Ukraine.
“We expect that all sovereign assets of the Russian Federation will be confiscated and transferred to the benefit of our state” – he emphasized.
We will remind that in March 2024, the leaders of the European Union adopted a political decision regarding the use of income from frozen Russian assets for Ukraine.
