This sentence can be appealed within 30 days from the moment of its pronouncement by submitting an appeal to the Appeals Chamber of the VACS. NABU does not officially disclose the name of the convict, however, for information Transparency International Ukraine, it is about Oleksiy Salnikov.

The prosecution asked for a sentence of seven years in prison with confiscation of all property, as well as deprivation of the rank of public servant for inciting bribery and fraud. The higher anti-corruption court acquitted him of fraud charges.

For their part, the defenders asked the court to fully acquit Salnikov. They insisted that the initiator of all actions in the case was the applicant, and Salnikov himself did not persuade or incite the granting of an unlawful benefit.
