The General Staff approved retraining courses for social support specialists

The Central Directorate of Civil-Military Cooperation of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (TSUTSVS of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine) has approved an updated program of retraining courses for social support specialists. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense.
The program is designed for 8 days and includes modules dedicated to the regulatory and legal framework in the field of social guarantees, as well as practical tools for providing comprehensive assistance.
“Particular attention is paid to the ability of the escort service specialist to interact with communities and partners in order to more precisely solve the problem of the person applying. Also, at the courses, we explain the mechanisms of obtaining benefits and guarantees for military personnel and members of their families.” – explained the head of the Central Security Service of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel Oleksandr Kutkov.
He noted that during the training process, strategic sessions, practical simulations of various situations, as well as consideration of action algorithms in crisis cases, such as injury or disappearance of a serviceman, are planned. Soon, 30 representatives of military units will undergo training under the updated program.
Among the teachers are specialists in public administration in the social sphere, human rights defenders, lawyers with experience in providing assistance to military personnel, analysts in the field of mental health. The coaching staff also includes representatives of public and charitable organizations engaged in social and legal protection of military personnel and their families.
According to the current provision, escort services provide assistance to military personnel and their families in legal, household, medical and social matters. Their activities include information on rights, benefits and opportunities, consultations, and support in filling out documents.
In addition, escort workers facilitate coordination between military personnel, their family members, medical facilities, social services, community associations and authorities during everyday and crisis situations.
