On May 8, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted Resolution No. 520, which amended the procedure for booking conscripts for the period of mobilization and wartime.

According to the updated rules, enterprises, institutions and organizations that produce goods, perform work and provide services necessary to meet the needs of the Armed Forces will now submit lists of conscripts for reservation to the Ministry of Defense.
Previously, this function was performed by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
It is important to note that the Cabinet of Ministers also extended for one month (until June 18, 2024) the postponement of conscription for military service during mobilization, which was granted to conscripts in accordance with the previous version of Resolution No. 76.
This was done in order to avoid stopping the work of enterprises that are critical for the economy during the transition period before the new Law of Ukraine “On Mobilization Training and Mobilization” comes into force.
According to the Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine Ihor Fomenko, by May 18, 2024, the Government will develop the necessary legal acts that will regulate the booking of conscripts according to the updated rules.
According to the explanations of the Committee on National Security of the Verkhovna Rada, cases where a booked employee of an enterprise receives a summons after updating data in the TCC and passing the VLC may be due to technical errors or untimely updating of information.
In such situations, the employee is recommended to contact the TCC for clarification and provide documents confirming his reservation.
