The Government has ordered to check the compliance of the Demographic Register and the Taxpayer Register

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has expanded the list of data to be updated as a result of verification of information on individuals. This process now includes the reconciliation of the Unified Demographic Register with the State Register of Individual Taxpayers.

By the end of September, the verification will be carried out through an automated comparison of data from two state information resources – the Demographic Register and the Taxpayer Register. Based on the results of the verification, the data will be automatically updated and entered into the state registers.

The relevant amendments were approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 1113 dated 26 September 2024 concerning the procedure for the formation and verification of electronic permanent and temporary residence permits, as well as their electronic copies.

According to the resolution, the data transferred to the Diia portal in accordance with the requirements of the law is used to generate electronic certificates. This applies to both data from the Demographic Register and the Taxpayer Register, with the exception of digitised fingerprints.

Electronic permanent and temporary residence permits are issued free of charge through the Diia Portal at the request of persons who have previously received the relevant documents in accordance with applicable law.
