The government has regulated the rules for traveling abroad for artists and media workers

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine regulated the border crossing rules for artists and media workers. Now, applications will be considered by specialized institutions, and the letter of support will be signed only by the Minister of Culture or his deputy. About this reported Deputy Minister of Culture and Strategic Communications Andrii Najos.

“The changes voted for by the Cabinet of Ministers are that previously all appeals were received by the ministry, but now we have applied such a scheme, when all appeals are sent to the relevant institutions, for example, State Cinema, State Television and Radio Company. They process the appeal within their competence, check all the necessary documents, and we (the Ministry of Culture) already receive a verified package.” Andriy Najos explained.

The deputy minister noted that these changes will help speed up the process and increase its responsibility. From now on, documents must be submitted to the Ministry of Culture no later than 15 days before departure, and the period of stay abroad cannot exceed 60 days from the moment of crossing the border.

“In exceptional cases, the period of stay abroad can be extended, but we think that this period is enough for a person to solve his work issues and return to Ukraine,” – emphasized Najos.
