The headquarters at the Ministry of Energy doubles the emergency stock of transformers in regional power companies
The headquarters for liquidation of the consequences of a military emergency in energy systems, which works under the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, decided to double the emergency stock of power transformers at distribution system operators (oblenergo). About this it is said on the website of the National Commission for State Regulation in Energy and Utilities (NKREKP).
The changes prepared to the Temporary Order provide the OSR with the opportunity to purchase the necessary power transformers within the limits of this order, using funds from investment and repair programs. The resulting transformers will be used for the prompt restoration of electrical network facilities and their components damaged as a result of hostilities.
The following project proposes to make changes to the Procedure for the purchase of electricity produced from alternative energy sources by a guaranteed buyer, approved by Resolution 641. The changes concern the clarification of the calculation of the amount of electricity sold by sellers at the “green” tariff, which is subject to the provision of services under the market premium mechanism.
In particular, according to the proposed changes, when determining the cost of the service using the market premium mechanism, the volume of UZE electric energy supply, which is part of the seller’s generating units, is not taken into account.
Currently, JSC “Ukrainian Distribution Networks” (“URM”), which combines the state controlling stakes of six regional energy companies, has lost about 50 large transformers due to Russian shelling.
