The first meeting with the members of the newly created supervisory board of the enterprise was held at the SE “Lisa Ukrainy”. About this reported general director of the company Yuriy Bolokhovets.
“With the appearance of the supervisory board, the company gained a higher level of subjectivity. This is another step on the way to future corporatization and transformation of a state-owned enterprise into an international company.” – noted Bolokhovets.
He noted that currently “Lysy Ukrainy” is facing serious challenges, but the creation of the supervisory board significantly strengthens the company’s team. Bolokhovets emphasized that its members included representatives of Latvia, Finland and Canada – countries with a developed forestry system.
It will be recalled that the Cabinet of Ministers approved Markiyan Vytvytskyi, Roberts Stripnieks and Yanne Haryunpiai as independent members of the council, and Oleksiy Kuchera was appointed as the state representative.
First Deputy Minister of Economy Oleksiy Sobolev noted that the introduction of the supervisory board will contribute to the implementation of high standards of corporate governance in accordance with the legislation and OECD principles. It will also strengthen the confidence of international partners and potential investors.
