The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine presented for public discussion the project of the state educational standard for profession 5164 “sniper”. About this reported press service of the department.
According to the document, the initial training of snipers can last up to 1152 hours. The main competences identified by the Ministry of Education and Culture are literacy, mathematical competence, personal and social skills, the ability to study, as well as civic competence.
Up to 180 hours of training, corresponding to the eighth level of education, are required to obtain the qualification “sniper-instructor”. The program includes theoretical and practical training, consultations and qualification certification. After completing the course, the graduate should have the skills to use sniper weapons, provide first aid and the basics of psychological training.
Educational institutions should provide students with the necessary equipment, including sniper equipment, quadcopters, weather stations, nettle tablets, and thermal imaging binoculars.
