The investigation into the enrichment of the head of the AMCU Kyrylenko for UAH 72 million has been completed

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office completed the pre-trial investigation against the head of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine, Pavlo Kyrylenka. About this reported SAP press office.

He is suspected of illegal enrichment in the amount of 72 million hryvnias and entering unreliable data into the declaration. The investigation began after the publication of the journalistic material of the “Schemes” program.

“SAP prosecutors and NABU detectives reported on the change of suspicion and the completion of the pre-trial investigation in the case of the current head of a state body with special status, suspected of illegal enrichment of over UAH 72 million and declaration of false information.” – the message says.

According to the investigation, the legal income of Kyrylenko and his family could not cover the costs of acquiring these assets. He is also accused of not declaring part of the property in the reports for 2020-2023, which is a violation of the requirements for persons authorized to perform state functions. Initially, in August of this year, he was charged with illegal enrichment for 56.2 million hryvnias, but later the amount was increased to 72 million.

So far, the defense has received access to the case materials for perusal. After that, the proceedings will be transferred to the High Anti-Corruption Court for consideration on the merits.
