The Israeli ambassador named the reasons why his country does not provide military assistance to Ukraine

Israel supports Ukraine and condemns Russia’s aggression, but refrains from providing military aid due to “different considerations”. About this stated Ambassador of Israel in Kyiv Michael Brodsky.

“The main consideration is the reluctance to disrupt our contacts with Russia, the reluctance to put our security at risk, because we understand that this could lead to very serious consequences for the security of Israel.”, the diplomat said.

Brodsky also noted that such issues should be discussed only in a closed format, as publicity can only do harm.

“We have channels of communication with Ukraine, we discuss a wide variety of issues, including channels of communication between special services. There they discuss very sensitive issues, very important for the two countries. But it is clear that you and I will not discuss these issues today . And I think that there is no need to discuss them in the press at all.” – emphasized the ambassador of Israel.

Earlier, Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu stated that certain agreements with Russia do not allow Ukraine to provide weapons for defense.
