The Ministry of Defence denies rumours of suspension of mobilisation reservations

The Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Ivan Havrylyuk, announced that by November 15, the country will conduct an audit of enterprises that have received the status of “critical” from local self-government bodies. “Suspilne” informs about this.
He refuted the media reports about the suspension of the booking process. According to him, more than a million men are currently booked in Ukraine.
“The decision was made because the number of booked people increased dramatically. Within two years there were 540,000 people, and here in a couple of months the growth has doubled.”, – said the official.
Military personnel will be included in the commission that will audit “critical” enterprises. If it is determined that the enterprise is not of critical importance to the state, the reservation will be reviewed.
Earlier it became known that the government decided to suspend the application of criteria for determining critical enterprises until November 15, 2024. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed dissatisfaction with the large number of booked persons.
Also, the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Defense should prepare a draft decision for the government, which will include:
- the procedure for checking the validity of the reservation of conscripts;
- cancellation of postponements from the draft in case of detection of unjustified booking cases.
