The Ministry of Defense approved the Concept for the creation of a modern system of military-patriotic education
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has approved a new concept of military-patriotic education, which aims to increase the motivation of both active servicemen and potential recruits. About this informs defense department.
The concept, approved by the order of the Ministry of Defense No. 554/nm dated August 14, 2024, is the first step in creating a modern system of military-patriotic education. This initiative is designed to update approaches to patriotic education, focusing on progressive experience and creating an effective system that meets modern challenges.
Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Nataliya Kalmykova emphasized that the approval of this Concept is only the beginning of a big process. She noted that a number of normative documents will be developed on its basis, including a strategy that will detail the implementation of military-patriotic education in all aspects.
“Military-patriotic education should become a key tool for increasing the motivation of military personnel and those who plan to join the ranks of the Armed Forces. It is important that this system be based on modern approaches and create an appropriate social and cultural infrastructure that will support the spirit of national patriotism.”– said Kalmikova.
The Ministry of Defense will also develop guidelines that will determine the implementation of a new strategy in the field of military-patriotic education. In addition, the ministry will be responsible for the organization and control of the implementation of education programs, as well as for the coordination of the activities of the military administration.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will deal with the direct implementation of national-patriotic programs, planning and conducting events aimed at increasing the prestige of military service among personnel. The text of the new Concept can be read at link.
