The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine codified and allowed several models of specialized boats of domestic production to be used in the Armed Forces. About this reported in the Main Directorate for Life Cycle Support of Weapons and Military Equipment.
“Boats can perform a wide range of tasks in the conditions of both the open sea and the mouths of rivers, large lakes, etc. The design features of Ukrainian boats allow them to be used in hard-to-reach places – shallows, on stony, silty reservoirs.” – the message says.
These watercraft are characterized by resistance to moderate waves, the ability to carry significant loads and a shallow draft that ensures their effectiveness in a variety of conditions. Depending on the tasks, the boats can be equipped with bow turrets, electronic warfare systems, sounders, carriages, mobile soft fuel tanks and other special equipment adapted to the needs of modern combat.
The department also noted that these boats have already been tested in real conditions and have shown their effectiveness. Earlier it was reported that the Aquaspirit company will provide the Ukrainian military with combat boats of its own production. Its developments are already actively used by units of the Armed Forces.
