Rebooting the Cabinet: the “Servant of the People” named applicants for new positions
On September 4, the “Servant of the People” faction held a meeting at which they discussed a large-scale “reboot” of the government. By information “Ukrainian Pravda”, this decision will be accompanied by significant personnel changes.
It is known that Iryna Vereshchuk will leave the Ministry of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories, which will be liquidated, and move to the President’s Office, where she will deal with social policy. The functions of her former department will be transferred to the Ministry of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine.
Olha Stefanishyna will receive the post of Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration and at the same time will become the Minister of Justice. Oleksandr Kamyshin, the current minister of strategic industries, will become an adviser to the president, and Herman Smetanin, the head of Ukroboronprom, will take his place.
Changes are also expected in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs – the new head will be Dmytro Kuleba’s first deputy minister, Andriy Sybiga. Svitlana Grynchuk, Deputy Minister of Energy, will be the Minister of Environmental Protection instead of Ruslan Strilets.
The Ministry of Youth and Sports will be headed by Matviy Bidny, and the new Minister of Agrarian Policy will be Vitaly Koval, who currently heads the State Property Fund. Mykola Tochytskyi will head the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy, and Natalia Kalmykova will be appointed Minister of Veterans Affairs.
Oleksiy Kuleba will take over the post of Minister of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure, but it is planned that his department will be divided in the near future.
