The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine officially codified and allowed the use of the new unmanned ground robotic complex “DODGER” in the Defense Forces. About this informs press center of the department.
The robot was created to perform tasks of logistics, demining and evacuation. “DODGER” is equipped with a wheel base and is capable of transporting goods weighing up to 250 kg. Its design takes into account the combat experience of the Ukrainian military.
The complex is designed for evacuating the wounded from the battlefield, laying mines near positions of Ukrainian forces or on enemy rear routes. The novelty has a low profile, which reduces its visibility on the battlefield, and is also protected by an armored case that protects important components from bullets and debris.
We will remind, on June 21, the Ministry of Defense provided codification and allowed the use of the new Ukrainian unmanned ground system TERMIT in the Armed Forces. Previous models of this complex are already used on the front lines to perform logistical tasks and monitor the enemy. TERMIT can also serve as a platform for combat modules. The new version has improved dynamic characteristics and has the potential for further upgrades.
The complex is capable of transporting goods up to 300 kg. Thanks to its low profile, stable center of gravity and track, it moves efficiently on different types of terrain – off-road, slopes, trenches and obstacles. Its batteries provide several hours of autonomous operation, during which the complex can cover tens of kilometers.
