The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has officially codified and put into operation in units of the Defense Forces the logistic ground robotic complex “Teslia”. About this reported press service of the department.
“Hexodron “Teslia” was manufactured at a Ukrainian enterprise. It is designed for the transportation of various loads on the front line. Each wheel of the robot has a separate engine. The NRK is able to continue moving even after part of the engines or wheels are damaged. The six-wheel chassis allows you to reduce the pressure on the soil surface, which reduces the risk of being hit by anti-personnel mines.” – says the message.
The department noted that the “Teslia” hexodron was developed and manufactured at a Ukrainian enterprise. It is designed for front-line cargo transportation. Each of the six wheels is equipped with a separate motor, which allows the operation to continue even in the event of damage to part of the wheels or motors. Thanks to the six-wheel chassis, the pressure on the ground is reduced, which helps to minimize the risk of triggering anti-personnel mines.
The wheeled hexodron can easily overcome hills, trenches and perform a “tank” turn on the spot. Its wheels can be equipped with airless tires that remain functional even after damage.
The robotic complex is compact – it can be transported in the back of a military pickup truck or minibus. It is capable of transporting up to 200 kg of cargo and is equipped with a quick-change battery, which allows you to quickly replace it in the field.
